SAUL BASS (1920-1996) was not only one of the great graphic designers of the mid-20th century but the undisputed master of film title design thanks to his collaborations with Alfred Hitchcock, Otto Preminger and Martin Scorsese. He is known for his anitmated tiltes which gave him his star fame he has in a way influenced our group to some extent. He is know for the follwing films:

* the man with the golden arm (19550)
* Exodus (1960)
* In harm's way (1964)
