Soundtrack

Duane and Terry are the musical geniuses of the group and they are the ones that helped us find the write soundtrack for our sequence. Once thing was very clear, we were going to use a mixture of UK grime, garage and hip-hop as those are the main influences of our sequence. An example of this is the song -'Does it now' by Ghetto which is the song song we were goin to use.

We didnt end up using this track becuase we knew that it was goin to take a whole lot of time to get the copywrite sorted out. Instead Duane, having experiance in making tracks, suggested that he could just creat one for us so it gives our sequence abit more originality. We asked him if he could print screen the steps he took to create the track and also send us the the track to hear if it was up to standard.

He used Cubase 4 which is a programme that create beats having a cluster of sounds and instruments which you can chose from the libary to create the sound that you want.
Grime emerged from Bow, East London. The emergence of grime is intrinsically connected to its origins on UK pirate radio, with many performers honing their skills and achieving underground success before approaching the mainstream. Like other garage variants or mutations, pirate radio stations such as Rinse FM & MajorFm.com were essential to the evolution of the genre, MajorFm.com was the first online station to support grime music & gave grime its first recognition to the international market, grime was still at this point known as a number of other terms, including "sublow" , as well as "eskibeat", a term applied specifically to a style initially developed by Wiley and his collaborators. This indicated the movement of UK Garage away from its house influences towards darker themes and sounds. Among the first tracks to be labeled grime as a genre in itself were 'Eskimo' by Wiley and "Pulse X" by Musical Mob.

Grime music inspried us becuase it represents the underground sturggle which is what our film is trying to potray, with out it we wouldn't have such films like; Shank, 1day and adulthood. Also London youth wouldnt seem to have a voice espeically those who have lived around Gang culture and are looking for a way out, grime and garage are way that deprived youth of today can occupy them selves and show off there true skills.

And as a result of our influences... this is our final soundtrack
